9 months {jacob}

Better late than never!  After some camera and picture uploading troubles, I finally got Jacob’s nine month update put together!  After re-reading it last night, I see that Jacob has already changed so much as we close in on his 10 month birthday in a little over a week.  As always, I am amazed at how quickly the time goes…

Age: 9 months on August 18, 2015

Weight: 20 lbs. 14 oz.      Height:  30 inches

Sleeps: We’ve hit a bit of a rough spell with this little guy’s sleep.  He’s teething, I’m going back to work, he started at day care again…it’s not a good combination.  Some nights I’m up with him three to five times, other nights it’s just once.  I would really love to sleep again, but know it’s just a phase so try to enjoy our middle of the night snuggles as much as I can.

Naps: When he’s with me at home, Jacob normally takes two, two hour naps a day.  One starting around 8:30 or 9:00 am and a second nap around 12:30 or 1:00pm.

Eats: Jacob nurses about four times a day and eats breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  He seems to enjoy little finger foods the most now, although I am still making him pureed fruits and vegetables as well.

Diapers: Size 4

Clothes: 18-24 month clothes

Loves: rolling and scooting ALL over {and boy, is he FAST!}, sitting up, playing with toys, snuggling, being worn in the Baby Bjorn or Moby, his pacifier {oh how he loves that thing!}, his playmat, his saucer, his doorway jumper, his sisters and brother {they make him smile!}, being outside, eating, chewing on his spoon, picking up and eating little snacks by himself

Does NOT like: being tired or too hungry

New this month: Jacob is still army crawling, but gets up on his hands and knees and rocks more frequently now, he goes from crawling to sitting and back again, makes mamama, wawawa, and dadada noises, and even appears to wave once in a while when someone says hi to him

Best moment{s}: being home with Jacob all summer

Most difficult moment{s}: dropping him back off at daycare for the first time this school year

Looking forward to: Is it too early to say Christmas break? 😉  I’m looking forward to “real” crawling, more baby talk, and Jacob’s first birthday coming up in three short months!

And just for fun, here is Andrew’s 9 month update.
