pumpkin & ghost glass jar candle holders {tutorial}

 Halloween jar candle jolders

Last fall, my girls and I made some cute ghost and pumpkin candle holders for our Halloween – themed gender reveal party {post coming soon!} using just 3 materials: saved jars, tissue paper, and Modge Podge.  Since we had so much fun making them, I thought you might too!

Here is what you need:

:: saved jars {we love the pickle jars from Trader Joe’s} ::

:: white, orange, & black tissue paper ::

:: Modge Podge ::

:: Paint Brush ::

halloween jars

Here is what you do:

{1} cut orange and white tissue paper into small 1″ squares

{2} cut black tissue paper into shapes for eyes, noses, mouths, etc.

{3} paint the jar with modge podge

{4} cover jar with flat 1″ square of orange tissue for a pumpkin & white tissue for a ghost

{5} coat tissue paper with modge podge

{6} stick on face pieces

{7} coat face pieces with modge podge

{8} let sit until dry

{9} OPTIONAL: tie ribbon or baking twine around the top of the jar

Enjoy!
